Partners of the KJCF Quest Fellowships in Brain Health and Multimorbidity

The KJCF Quest Fellowships in Brain Health & Multimorbidity are delivered in close collaboration with a small number of UK universities that host the fellows and lead their appointment. These partner institutions bring deep expertise in brain health and its connections to wider physical health, and provide the supportive research environments needed for fellows to thrive. Together, we aim to nurture a new generation of researchers exploring how to prevent, treat and manage multiple long-term conditions where one is neurological or neuropsychiatric.

University College London

At University College London (UCL), the KJCF Quest Fellowships in Brain Health and Multimorbidity will support two non-clinical fellows. One mid-career academic will lead research on Healthy heart, healthy brain, examining how cardiovascular health in early life is linked to dementia risk in later life. A second, early-career fellow will focus on Protecting brain health through the senses, exploring how sensory systems can help diagnose, track and prevent neurological and mental health disorders.

University of Edinburgh

At the University of Edinburgh, the KJCF Quest Fellowships in Brain Health and Multimorbidity will support two fellows: one clinical and one non-clinical. Based within the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, the fellows will develop independent research programmes exploring how multiple long-term conditions interact with brain and mental health across the life course, with a focus on preventing, treating or managing conditions where at least one is neuropsychiatric.

King's College London

At King’s College London (KCL), the KJCF Quest Fellowships in Brain Health and Multimorbidity will support two postdoctoral researchers: one clinical fellow and one non-clinical fellow. Based at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), the fellows will investigate how neurological, neuropsychiatric and physical conditions intersect across the lifespan, helping advance research on the prevention, treatment and management of multiple long-term conditions.
