UCL opens applications for KJCF Quest Fellowships in Brain Health and Multimorbidity

University College London (UCL) has announced the launch of the KJCF Quest Fellowships in Brain Health and Multimorbidity, with calls for applications now open. Supported by The Karlsson Játiva Charitable Foundation, the fellowships aim to support innovative research that improves the lives of people living with multiple long-term conditions where one affects brain health.

UCL will host two non-clinical fellowships as part of the programme. One mid-career academic will lead research on Healthy heart, healthy brain, exploring how cardiovascular health in early life may influence dementia risk later in life. A second fellowship will support an early-career researcher focusing on Protecting brain health through the senses, investigating how sensory systems can help diagnose, track, treat and prevent neurological and mental health disorders.

Together, these fellowships will contribute to advancing understanding of how brain health interacts with other aspects of physical health across the life course. By supporting researchers at key stages of their careers, the programme seeks to nurture future leaders who can develop bold ideas and new approaches to addressing complex health challenges.
